Howdy!
My name is Ashtyn and I'm a Photographer/Videographer based out of Salt Lake City with a degree in Film & Media Arts from the University of Utah. I currently work at U of U as a Videographer for the Department of University Connected Learning where I shoot and edit lecture-style content for higher education courses. I work both in studio and on site for all colleges across the University.
I primarily shoot on a Sony A7RV and edit projects using Adobe Creative Cloud. Softwares I'm proficient in include Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, & After Effects.
My journey with photography and filmmaking began in 8th grade, and I've pursued every opportunity I could get my hands on since.
Since then, I've had the privilege of working for the Sundance Film Festival as a Production Assistant for the 2023, 2024, & 2025 Sundance Film Festivals. I supported directors and executive members of Frontline | PBS and AP Journalists who premiered their Oscar-winning documentary, 20 days in Mariupol (2023) and 2000 Meters to Andriivka (2025). As well as support cast and crew on Ralph Lauren's 2025 Fall/Holiday campaign.

After completing my undergrad, I worked in-studio at ABC4 Utah as a Camera Operator for both Good Morning Utah (morning news) & Good Things Utah (lifestyle show).
From camera operating, to teleprompting, to floor directing, to audio mixing, I wore multiple hats across all aspects of floor production.
This is my pup, Layla. She's a pitbull heeler mix who loves hiking, swimming, playing frisbee, and taking naps in the sun.
She is a true athlete.
